The beauty never stops here

Can you believe it's almost March.. sick! The hours and days seem to be flowing by faster and faster by the minute. Vancouver life is sorting its self out in the new year. I started another job serving which is going swell so far, the only that gets me with serving is I am often surrounded by 20 year olds, it makes me feel old.

Soon I will be moving too!!! Moving a major five blocks up.. and with one of my greatest new friends in Vancouver and another lovely lady who I have recently just met. I am ubber stoked and will be living there for at least a year. My new pad is a duplex, with two floors, a double sink bathroom with plug in's  I checked, a garage, a washer and dryer, a dishwasher (YES) and a place for me to plunk a garden and my wind chimes! Oh my I can't wait! 

Life is good peeps.. life is good.... Or at least it is getting better everyday in every way (as Mr. Q would say).

After a lovely trip to Ikea with my roommate Lauren I made us each some new pillows. Here's my new spread.

Considering how full my closet is, the fact that my six drawer dresser is full.

and that I have no where to put my jeans, it's possible. 

Did I mention I have at least 3 tupperware containers full still in Alberta...

Featherly friend

With Christmas season in the mix I have been inspired to create. 
I love creating but  I always get distracted by too many things I want to do and make that I am all over the map, I have made a few of these and plan to make more to give for Christmas.. Maybe one day I will get up enough guts to try and sell my creations that just keep adding up and being stored with my random traveling self...

I found this blue hooter at a garage sale. The old man who sold it to me told me about his wife's friend who had 70 or so owls in her home... Here's too hoping I don't go that EXTREME!

BLACKBERRIES

30 min in the rain, a few cuts on our hands, and a few giant spiders later

We have three bucket's of these babies.

Silver Fish

Apparently these little buggers love  dark, moist, cracks and crannies... So pretty much they love Vancouver and not to mention my apartment.

Today I looked up at my beautiful bowl light in the kitchen to see a bunch of these critters scampering around.

I also found one or two in my tub, one in my cupboard, and one climbing on my roomies towel.. and after a bit of research I am pretty grossed out.. Especially since they are nocturnal,  now I  imagine them climbing all over my face as I sleep.

BLEH..

 Wish me luck getting rid of these little buggers.. It doesn't sound like an easy task..

The things you see in Vancouver

The other day on the skytrain a gentleman came on pushing his bike. He was a tall fellow with his pants tucked into his socks and some huge marshmallow Nike type shoes on,

and tin foil under his bike helmet, and across underneath his chin. Like a tin foil helmet!!

As the skytrain went along, I found myself staring (not rudely just curiously) I wanted to ask so bad, and we were all wondering "Why do you have tin foil on your head?"

And than to top it off he pulls out a hairspray bottle and starts spraying the tin foil.. not his hair the tin foil.

Wowsa.

Interesting to say the least.
